Glenn Becker

Glenn is the sole artist and producer for all of Exotic Chopping Blocks’ products. He spends his days in the shop, always working to be creative and innovative with his patterns and designs. Glenn had a previous career for 35 years as a finish carpenter. In his free time, you can find Glenn playing one of his many guitars, reading a good novel, or hanging out with the family by the fireplace or on the back patio with a glass of red wine.

Laurie Carmichael

Glenn and Laurie began Exotic Chopping Blocks when Laurie was 15 and she has been a part of it ever since. Starting as her dad’s sidekick at art shows, she has now become the web and communications manager, handling all calls with customers, show promoters, and various vendors and wood distributors. She is a full time Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in San Marino, CA, nature enthusiast, and coffee consumer.

Morgan Yoshida

Morgan lives in San Diego with her husband, Aaron, and precious newborn, Beck. When she comes home to visit, it is not uncommon for her to venture into the shop and design a few boards for Glenn. Turns out these are the boards that usually sell first at the next show!

Nancy Becker

Nancy is Glenn’s wife and is a supportive and loving part of the family business. Before shows, she will wake up extra early to make sure Glenn and Laurie have the nutrition they need to get through the day!

Sam Carmichael

Sam, Laurie’s husband, handles all the product photography from shooting, editing, and delivery. You might see him make an appearance at a show or two to help with setup and breakdown!
